SELNICA

County : Međimurje County

Arms of Selnica

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on April 16, 2014.

The winged lion symbolizes the patron of the community St. Mark. The oil tower symbolizes the oil fields of Selnica.

The arms replaced arms adopted in 2005, which only showed the winged lion.

Arms of Selnica

One of the earlier proposals for arms dates from 2004 and also shows the winged lion, and the date 1334, the year when the St. Mark parish is first mentioned in documents.
