un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat. În partea superioară, în câmp roșu, se află o fortificație compusă dintr-un turn central, cu poartă și acoperiș dublu, flancat în dreapta și în stânga de un zid crenelat terminat cu câte un turn cu un acoperiș, de argint. În partea inferioară, în câmp albastru, se află o timonă de aur având în dreapta, respectiv în stânga, câte un pește înotând, de argint. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 5, 2005.
The fortress symbolizes the durability and the historical load of these places, in the area called Căunița de Jos, Gornea village.
The rudder symbolizes the fact that there are two industrial ports within the commune.
The fish symbolize the fish wealth of the area and the main occupation of the inhabitants.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
