Additions : 1975 [{Siegen (kreis)|Siegen]], Wittgenstein

Origin/meaning :
The left arms of Siegen-Wittgenstein were granted on October 26, 1987, the new on October 1, 1999.

The old arms are nearly identical to the old arms of the Siegen district, with the exception of the colours of the left field form blue and gold to silver and black, the colours of the old Wittgenstein arms. The arms show the lion of Nassau for the old County of Nassau-Siegen, and miner's tools for the former mining in the area.

In the new arms the pales of the arms of Wittgenstein have been added.
