SIGHARTING

State : Oberösterreich
District : Schärding

Arms of Sigharting

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 7, 1971.

The upper part shows the local castle, dating from the 12th century, but rebuilt in the present style in 1570 by Hector von Pürching. The base shows a postal horn, as the village was an important postal station in previous centuries.
