Official blazon

Van lazuur beladen met het beeld van St. Blasius eene zieke met het teeken van het kruis genezende, alles van goud.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 24, 1818.

The arms show the local patron saint, St. Blasius, which also appeared on th eold seal of the village.

The colours are the Dutch national colours, as in 1813 the mayor applied without indicating the colours. The arms were thus granted in the national colours. When the arms were confirmed after the Belgian independence, the colours were not changed.
