Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 9, 1998.

The oak tree is a canting element; "Sobralinho", which is the diminutive of the word Sobral, which means forest of oak trees. The two towers refer to the defensive lines of Torres Vedras, of which some traces still exist in the parish.

The cogwheel and millstone refer to the former and present industry in the parish. The wavy base refers to the Tagus river on which banks the parish is situated. The oak - to evoke the name of the parish, , hence the representation of an oak in the coat.
