Arms : Azure, an inescutcheon Argent enflamed of sixteen points and irradiated throughout of sixty-four lines Or. |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 15, 2016.
The society was founded in 1987 and used initially a sun in a shield (in black and white). This evolved into a shield of arms: Azure an Inescutcheon Argent enflamed of sixteen points and irradiated throughout of sixty-four lines all Or.
This blazon was handed to the College of Arms in 2016, with a crest designed by Ralph Brocklebank, which was an attempt to recognise the wide range of crafts that may be applied to heraldry. The College of arms on slightly changed the design, which was granted by the end of 2016..
The motto SYMBOLS HONOUR ARMIGERS is self-explanatory.
