STETTELDORF AM WAGRAM

State : Niederösterreich
District : Korneuburg

Arms of Stetteldorf am Wagram

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1997.

The arms show four wheatears and four grape leaves, one for each of the four sub-municipalities (Katastralgemeinden), Stetteldorf am Wagram, Eggendorf am Wagram, Starnwörth and Inkersdorf.

The tower is the Sobieski tower of the Juliusburg castle in the village. The Polish King Sobieski planned from here in 1683 an attack against the Turkish army, which was attacking Vienna.
