Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 3, 1992.

The village belonged for nearly 1000 years to the Prüm abbey. This is symbolised by the banner of St. John, as St. John is the patron saint of the abbey. The horn is a symbol of St. Hubert, the patron saint of the local church.
