STRADEN

State : Steiermark
District : Bad Radkersburg

Straden.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on 5 June, 1972.

Straden lies in South-Eastern Styria. The people of this region often had to fight off (or flee from) invaders, be they Hungarians, Turks or the Yugoslav army of the 20th century. This sad fact gave the arms its chief.

The field depicts the churches of Straden which can be seen from afar.
