Region : Nordjylland
Amt (until 2007) : Nordjylland (until 1970 Ålborg)
Additions : 1970 Buderup-Gravlev, Sønderup-Suldrup, Veggerby, Årestrup, Øster Hornum

Coat of arms (crest) of Støvring

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1977.

The arms show a tree trunk between two ox-horns. The horns are taken from the old seal of Hornum herred. The trunk is a canting symbol, as the name means an area with tree trunks.
