SULEJÓWEK

Province: Mazowsze
County: Mińsk

Coat of arms (crest) of Sulejówek
Official blazon
Polish blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 2000.

The arms show the Polish eagle and two batons representing Marshal Jozef Pilsudski, who originated from the town. He became a marshal in 1919 and thus the Polish eagle is the crowned eagle used at the time.

The previous arms were granted on October 13, 1990.

Coat of arms (crest) of Sulejówek

The eagle is the royal Polish eagle, and symbolises the influence of the Polish Kings in the area. The S is the town's initial. The pine trees symbolise the forests surrounding the city.
