Origin/meaning

The arms were registered in 1975.

The arms show three fish and three hops leaves, indicating the importance of fishing and agriculture in the municipality. The hops (Humle) are canting for the village of Humble, where the city hall was located. The fish are taken from the medieval seal of Snder herred, to which the area historically belonged.
