Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1925 and confirmed on December 6, 1994.

The arms were newly designed in the 1920s. The base shows three pine trees, which are derived from the old 19th century seal of Dietharz. The upper half symbolises the axe and hammers the importance of forestry and mining in the region.
