Officers: Within a wreath of oak leaves a circle inscribed "King's Own Malta Regiment" and ensigned with a crown;within the circle a Maltese Cross on a parti-colored with and red background ; on the bottom of the wreath a straight scroll inscribed "MDCCC" . The Circle and scroll in blue enamel with gilt lettering ; the Maltese Cross in silver plate reminder in gilt.

Other Ranks: Same design as officers, but all in gilding metal, except the Maltese Cross which is in white metal.
