History: Formed in 1958 by the amalgamation of 4th Queen's Own Hussars, British Army and 8th (King's Royal Irish) Hussars, British Army

The Irish Harp in silver plate within a gilt circlet inscribed "Queen's Royal Irish Hussars" surmonted by the Royal Crest. Underneath a scroll inscribed "Mente et Manu" (with heart and Hand) in silver plate.
