(Guidon)

Official blazon

Badge: Two carbines in saltire muzzles upwards triggers inwards proper, surmounted by a tank Argent ensigned by the Royal Crown proper, on a scroll spanning from one carbine’s stock to the other Azure edged and inscribed THE WINDSOR REGIMENT in letters Or.
Motto: Semper Paratus.

Origin/meaning

The Crown represents service to the Sovereign. The tank represents the regiment’s origins as an infantry tank unit. The crossed carbines are taken from the badge of the 3rd Carabiniers (Prince of Wales’s Dragoon Guards) (now The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys)) and represent the regiment’s alliance with that unit. “THE WINDSOR REGIMENT” is a form of the regimental title. The Motto traslates as "Always prepared".

The badge was approved by the Canadian Heraldic Authority on October 4, 2004.
