Official blazon

Escudo de vermelho, um castelo de ouro aberto e iluminado de verde, cortado por três faixas ondadas, duas de prata e uma de azul. A torre central, rematada por um braço armado de prata empunhando uma maça de armas de ouro. Coroa mural de prata de cinco torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro : " TORRES NOVAS ".

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 7, 1986.

Unfortunately I have no background information on these arms. Any information is welcome !

The previous arms were granted on May 20, 1936 and only differ in the crown.
