 The municipality of Traar never had official arms. Only recently, as a district of Krefeld, Traar adopted arms. The mill is the Egelsbergmühle in Traar. The two small shields show the cross of the [[Köln (State)|State of Köln]], to which the area historically belonged, and the cross of the Teutonic Order, who founded the Traar castle.
