Escudo de verde, castelo de prata lavrado de negro, assente em penhascos de sua cor e subrepujado por uma águia de ouro. A torre central carregada de um escudete de Portugal antigo, de prata com cinco escudetes de azul, postos em cruz, os dos flancos apontados ao centro e cada um carregado de onze besantes de prata, postos três, dois, três, dois, um. Em chefe, à dextra, uma estrela de cinco raios de ouro. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com os dizeres a negro : " TRANCOSO ".
