Origin/meaning

The crown refers to the Kings of France that passed through or stayed in the village in the past. The green field refers to the agriculture and forests in the municipality.

The crosier with the velum refers to the Convent of Montmartre, to which the village belonged for many centuries. The abbess was Lord of the village. The three other crosiers refer to the three royal councils held in the village between 909-924 by the Archbishop of Reims.
