Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 2, 1976.
The red and gold shield resembles the arms of both merged towns. The fountain charged with a crown stands for Royal Tunbridge Wells. The sprig of broom is for Southborough and the cornucopia is for the agricultural areas added to the towns.
The crest has a silver and blue torse wreath suggesting spa waters. The crest itself is a combination of the well of Royal Tunbridge Wells and the ram's head of Southborough.
The dexter supporter is a crane for Cranbrook RDC. The sinister supporter is the white horse of Kent.
