Official blazon
Arms : Or on a Pile Vert a Fountain charged with a Saxon Crown Or in base a Bine of Hops leaved and fructed and a Sprig of Apple leaved and flowered in saltire proper.
Crest : On a Wreath Or and Gules issuant from a stone Well-head a Ram's Head proper.
Supporters : On the dexter a Demoiselle Crane proper and on the sinister a Horse argent each gorged with a Collar gobony Or and Gules upon a Compartment of Sandstone Rocks proper.
Motto : 'DO WELL AND DOUBT NOT'
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 2, 1976.
The red and gold shield resembles the arms of both merged towns. The fountain charged with a crown stands for Royal Tunbridge Wells. The sprig of broom is for Southborough and the cornucopia is for the agricultural areas added to the towns.
The crest has a silver and blue torse wreath suggesting spa waters. The crest itself is a combination of the well of Royal Tunbridge Wells and the ram's head of Southborough.
The dexter supporter is a crane for Cranbrook RDC. The sinister supporter is the white horse of Kent.
