Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 25, 2013.

The arms show a flax flower, as flax cultivation is the main agricultural activity in the area. The eleven balls refer to the eleven former municipalities that formed the municipality in 2001. The red colour refers to Brandenburg, the gold to the wheat and flax fields.
