Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 21, 2000.

The rooster is a symbol for the local church, the wind nill blades for the formerly important windmill in the village. Th ebend refers to the Cistercian Abbey of Reinfeld, to which the village belonged until the Reformation. The colours are those of the Schwerin County.
