State : São Paulo

Arms of União Paulista

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 6, 1975.

The bridge evokes the efforts of the settlers to make communication possible between the village and the agricultural area. The Calvary cross represents the foundation of the settlement, when a cross was erected, the fleur de lys are the attribute of the Blessed Virgin, patron saint of the city and the wavy base symbolizes the many rivers and rivulets which irrigate the region but had to be conquered to make the development of the region possible

The supporters show that coffee, corn and rice are important agricultural products of the region.

The shield is surmounted by a mural crown appropriate to a city and a scroll below the shield bears the name of the city.
