Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 2, 1967.

The chief shows the cross of the Teutonic Order and is reminiscent of a seat of a Vogtamt of the order in the place. The house symbolizes the Roman estate "Villa rustica", the foundations of which have been carefully restored.

The saltire in blue refers to the former sovereignty of the Counts of Oettingen.

Before 1967 the village used different arms, showing a point with in chief the arms of Oettingen.
