Origin/meaning

The castle on the hill is the local medieval tower in the village (U Castellu a Scolca). The chief shows a snake biting its tail surmounting an ear of wheat. This is taken from a tympanum of the baptistal font of San Ghjuvan Battista, in Riscamone (a remains of a Romanesque church).
