Escudo de verde, com um cervo passante de ouro, armado de prata, olhando em frente, contendo entre as hastes um escudete de azul carregado de cinco besantes de prata. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com os dizeres : " VILA NOVA DE CERVEIRA ", de negro.

The arms were officially granted on February 16, 1972.
