Official blazon

Escudo de prata com uma faixa de negro com três romãs de ouro abertas de vermelho. Em chefe, dois cachos de uvas de verde realçados de prata, folhados e troncados a verde. Em contra-chefe, um cacho de uvas dos mesmos esmaltes. Coroa mural de cinco torres de prata. Listel com as letras a negro : " VILA NOVA DE FAMALICÃO ".

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 14, 1985 and before on November 21, 1935. The only difference is the crown, see below.
