Escut caironat: d'atzur, una creu llatina patent i concavada d'argent amb 5 rodelles de gules ressaltant sobre els extrems i el centre. Per timbre, una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 14th November 1985.

The village developed around the imposing Romanesque monastery of Santa Maria de Vilabertran; the monastery keeps a famous processional cross of the 14th century. This silver jewel is shown on the arms of the village.
