Escudo de azul, uma capela de ouro, lavrada e aberta de negro, com torre sineira vazia do campo, entre duas espigas de milho de ouro, folhadas de prata; em chefe, lançadeira de ouro, com fio de vermelho, posta em faixa; pé ondado de prata e azul. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ VILARINHO – SANTO TIRSO “.

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on December 21, 1999.

The arms show the local chapel of São Miguel de Vilarinho surrounded by symbols for the local agriculture (corn) and textile industry (spindle). The base shows the Vizela river.
