Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on September 21, 2021.
The azure field and the double cross indicate that, under the Ancien Régime, the village depended on the Duchy of Bar. The red and the two golden chevronnels are based on the arms of Jean-François comte de Neuilly, the last lord of Morvilliers and Villouxel.
The furnace recalls the importance of the steel industry in the past in the village. The bear refers to the name of the village Villouxel which is partly derived from ursus, Latin for bear.
The periwinkles around the shield typically bloom in spring in the woods of Villouxel.
