WALDBÖCKELHEIM
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Bad Kreuznach
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Rüdesheim
German |
Origin/meaningThe arms were granted in 1950 and are based on the seal from 1636. The wheel is the wheel of the State of Mainz, as the village belonged from 1279-1471 to Mainz. The acorns and trees symbolise the many forests in the area and are also canting symbols (Wald=woods). In the 18th century the seal was replaced by a new seal showing the lion of the Pfalz, holding an oak leaf in his front paw.
