Origin/meaning

The arms show a acorn and oak leaf for the forests in the area and at the same tie are a symbol for the name of the town, which is derived from a word for small forest. The urn is a symbol for the prehistoric graveyards found in the area. The hammer is a wood-cutters hammer and the number 23 refers to the 23 people who had the cutting rights in the area.
