The arms were officially granted on  June 14, 1971.
The arms were officially granted on  June 14, 1971.

The arms show in the first quarter the wheel of [[Mainz]], as the village belonged to the [[State of Mainz]] until 1803. The second quarter shows a mirror, symbolising the mirror factory that was established in the village in 1698. This factiory still exists. The lower part shows a river coming from a wall. This symbolises a spring or fountain, which is a canting element for the last part of the name (-Brunn means fountain).
