State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rastatt (until 1972 Bühl)
Incorporated into : 1972 Bühl

Wappen von Weitenung/Arms (crest) of Weitenung
Official blazon
German In Schwarz ein abnehmender gebildeter silberner Halbmond.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The oldest seal from Weitenung dates from the early 19th century which shows a crescent surrounded by laurel leaves, but not placed in a shield. At the end of the 19th century a seal was used that showed the crescent in a crowned shield.

In July 1900 the State Archives approved the arms in black and white, to distinguish the arms from other municipalities with similar arms.
