Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1962.

The wavy bend symbolises the Fusse river that runs through the municipality. The green colour symbolises the importance of agriculture, the horse head is also a symbol for agriculture, but it also symbolises the horse breeding station in the municipality. The birch leaf symbolises the many forests in the area.
