Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 30, 1960.

The main symbol, the wolf's-hook is taken as a canting symbol from the arms of the city of Wolfach. The colours of the field are taken from the arms of Baden-Württemberg, together the colours are identical to the colours of the German flag.
