  • (nl) Van keel met den boom van sinopel en aan dezes voet een omgeworpen boomstam van natuurkleur, gekloven door twee bijlen van zilver, de eene rechter-, de andere linkerwaarts gekeerd ; het gansche ondersteund door eenen grond van sinopel.

Origin/meaning

The arms show a tree being felled for the production of wood.

A variation shows the patron saint of the guild, St. Gomarus and a trader, with on the tree the cross as a symbol for the saint.
