Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 30, 1931.

The griffin and crescents of the Wycliffe College Arms are taken from the traditional Arms of Sibly. The College was founded by G. W. Sibly, M.A. (Oxon.) in 1882 and refounded in 1931 as a Public School with W. A. Sibly, M.A. (Oxon.), J.P. (Glos.) as its Headmaster.
