Arms of York and North East Yorkshire Police

Official blazon

Arms : Argent, within a cross voided gules, an eagle displayed azure between four lions passant guardant gules; on a chief per pale azure and sable, three roses argent, barbed and seeded proper.
Crest: On a wreath argent, gules and azure, Out of a mural crown argent, a mount vert, thereon a sea lion sejant azure, the head and mane Or, grasping in the dexter claw three roses argent barbed and seeded and the stalks conjoined in pale, proper.


The arms were officially granted on May 20, 1969.
