On the local seal from 1395-1491 the shield is placed before a tree, plante d in a seven-topped hill with some sheep. The hill (zeven bergen, or severn mountains) is canting. Later a 16<sup>th</sup> century seal showed the letters VII B, otherwise the arms have never changed.
