Additions : 1973 Balingen, Hechingen (partly), Stockach (partly)
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 2, 1974.
The arms combine the arms of the former States of Württemberg (antlers) and Hohenzollern (quarters). With only a few exceptions, the whole district belonged historically to either one of these States.
