Incorporated into : 1974 Powys

Arms (crest) of Brecknockshire

Origin/meaning

The County used an unofficial coat of arms, which was attributed to the legendary King Brychan, after whom the County was named. The motto means Unity, Peace, Prosperity. These arms formed the basis for those granted to Brecknock.
