History:formed 6 April 1992 by amalgamation of the Army Legal Corps, Corps of Military Police, Military Provost Staff Corps, Royal Army Educational Corps, Royal Army Pay Corps, Women's Royal Army Corps, plus the Staff Clerks of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and the Clerks of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
