Origin/meaning

The arms are based on those of families with similar surnames and origins as the armiger, specifically the Vögtly family of Solothurn, whose arms are Or, a stag courant proper before two fir trees Vert on a base Vert. For distinction, the stag in the armiger's arms is colored Gules instead of proper, the base is replaced with a trimount, and a seven-pointed red star (mullet of seven points Gules) is added in the center chief to honor the armiger's wife. The crest is entirely new and represents the ancestral profession from which the armiger's surname is derived, indicated by the black baton held and the red clothing.
