First Bhawalpur Infantry, Bhawlapur
History: raised in 1827. It fought in the First Afghan War and in the Multan Campaign of 1848. In 1876 it participated in the Secon Afghan War. In 1901 it was designated as Bhawal Imperial Servie Mounted Rifles. During World War I it served in the Middle East. In 1923 it was named First Bhawalpur Infantry. In World War II it served on various Theatres of War.
