Gedeeld van sabel en van keel, een omgekeerd Latijns kruis van goud, de schildranden rakend, op de kruising beladen met een opengeslagen boek van natuurlijke kleur en vergezeld van vier bronnen golvend gedwarsbalkt van zilver en van lazuur, in het hoofd vier tuinlelies van zilver, met meeldraden en gesteeld van goud, geplaatst twee en twee de stengels uit het kruis groeiend.

Origin/meaning

Black, yellow and red are the colours of Belgium. St Joseph is Belgium’s patron saint, hence the lilies growing from the staff. The cross in the centre is a reversed Latin cross, traditionally associated with St Peter. The original site of the Belgians College to the crossroads known as Quattro Fontane in Rome. The open book is for an institution of learning. In all: a Belgian institution of learning associated to the See of St Peter.
