English	Arms :Argent, an anchor in bend azure; over all a cross gules. Crest:On. a wreath of the colours, A terrestrial globe proper encircled with a chain Or. Supporters:On the dexter side a cormorant; and on the sinister an albatross, supporting the shield with the interior wings expanded and inverted, proper. Motto:Quaerite vera.

The arms were officially granted on June 10, 1955, but, without supporters and crest, have been in use much longer.

The arms show the cross of the arms of the city of London and an anchor indicating the "London Marine Market".

The seagull and the cormorant supporters indicate "Above and below the Waves".

The crest with the globe and chain surrounding it, represents "Around the World".

The Latin motto means "Seek the Truth"
